Tune : Georgianna Moon waltz

Fiddler Lindsey Smith taught us the waltz Georgianna Moon Waltz. His version is different from the YouTube version as he goes in the lower register more. Lindsey is a very creative, melodic fiddler. Clayton McMichen wrote it in the key of B flat but Lindsey plays it in the key of D.

Tune : Ladies on a Steamboat

Henry Rutherford was the fiddle player on "Ladies on a Steamboat". Available from a Kentucky state park gift shop.

CD produced 2003 YAZOO, a division of Shanachie Entertainment Corp.

Tune : Deer Walk

These old-time tunes came from a Shanachie Entertainment Corp. CD collection of mountain music called Kentucky Mountain Music. This

tune was recorded by fiddler Doc Roberts on CD 1 of this collection.

Tune : Ducks on the Mill Pond

Tune : Christmas Eve (Tommy Coen's Reel)

"Christmas Eve (AKA Tommy Coen's Reel)" is a must to learn and play during the holiday season. Recorded on the "Bells of Dublin" album by the Chieftains, 1991.

Tune : What Child Is This?

Include this tune first before "Greensleeves Jig"/"Jingle Jig" (medley arranged by Jane Scott) also in Tunes Section. Chords are included but know that if trying to listen to this tune it will sound different on "playback". You'll notice that Part A is in E minor and Part B is in E Dorian. Thus, there'll be a "c natural" in the A Part and a "c sharp" in the B Part.

Tune : Greensleeves Jig/Jingle Bell Jig

These two Christmas jigs are two I put together. The first is usually played in A Dorian, changed to E Dorian. The second is my arrangement of "Jingle Bells" as a jig in G. You can add "What Child Is This" at the beginning in 3/4.

Tune : Arrival of the Wren Boys/Leg of the Duck

The Chieftains 1991 Christmas album is my favorite BELLS OF DUBLIN. I've included two of the jigs I've learned from listening to their album: "Arrival of the Wren Boys" AKA "Farewell to Lisheen" medleyed with "Leg of the Duck" AKA "Daniel of the Sun".
